Dee Harper (she/her) is a skilled storyteller originally from the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area. Growing up in the vibrant arts community of Prince George's County, Dee found early opportunities to explore her creativity through the visual and performing arts. As a graduate of several arts-focused educational institutions, she has honed a keen eye and refined taste for her craft.
Collaboration is central to Dee’s practice, allowing her, as a proud Black trans woman in the entertainment industry, to experience firsthand the importance of representation and the power of storytelling in shaping cultural narratives.
In May 2023, Dee graduated from The New School's Integrated Bachelor’s-Master’s Program, earning a Master’s in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dramatic Arts, and a minor in Film Production. Throughout her studies, she pursued outside creative projects, expanding her portfolio with renowned clients such as Givenchy, Ralph Lauren, Condé Nast, SkyHigh Farms, Soho House, and more.
Dee specializes in creative development, directing productions, and producing new media. She is passionate about serving her community and advocating for LGBTQIA+ representation, particularly uplifting Black trans women in the arts. As an actress with extensive formal training, Dee often finds herself in front of the camera, embodying the representation she has long sought.
